The Brain

Anatomy, Emotion & Intentional Living

This is a real brain, cut right down the middle, not made up. It’s based on real anatomy from Yale School of Medicine (Patrick J. Lynch, CC BY 2.5). Because it’s a real center cut, you can actually see the corpus callosum right where it is. The amygdala and hippocampus are drawn a little to the side with dashed lines, since they’re not really in the middle of the brain. A true center cut wouldn’t show them at all. We only labeled six parts here, not the whole brain.

Choose a region below, or click the diagram, to see its anatomy, the emotion behind it, and how to work with it on purpose.

This brain module is one piece of the full Wellth picture. Health, relationships, and finances, together.

The big idea: your brain changes based on what you practice, that’s not a figure of speech, it’s neuroplasticity, and it works at any age. The Anatomy in each section above is real, solid science; the Emotion part connects it to real life in your health, relationships, and finances: reasonable, but never the whole story on its own. Where popular brain claims are shakier than they sound, we say so.

How to actually use this

You don’t need to memorize any of this. Just remember one thing: when something isn’t working. A habit won’t stick, you overreacted to something small, you froze at the worst possible moment. Ask yourself which part of your brain was actually in charge. A lot of the time, you’re trying to fix the wrong part.
